"Historia de un Amor" Laszlo Gardony meets Marco Pignataro
“Historia de un Amor” is a free flowing exploration of this moving Latin American composition that master pianist Laszlo Gardony and soulful Italian saxophonist Marco Pignataro recorded at Charles Town Road Studio few years ago. This inspiring, intimate musical journey finds a truly symbiotic connection with Marco's original photography, through the medium of this suggestive video release. In particular, their arrangement departs from the original harmony of the composition into fully improvised, trancelike soundscapes, to viscerally explore the poignant emotions of the darkly romantic poetry within the song lyrics, lamenting the end of an unforgettable love. The video anchors this feeling of disquieting loss & pain through evocative imageries full of suggestive symbolisms and emotional story telling.
